Gallagher Bassett has been recognised as one of best places to work, receiving the ‘Employer of Choice 2022’ acknowledgement in the Five Star Employer of Choice report from Human Resources Director (HRD).

HRD’s Employer of Choice awards takes into account work-life balance, career opportunities, flexibility, meaningful work and remuneration when assessing the award submissions. These aspects and more are the core facets of human resources, as defined by HRD, which are joined by new challenges born of the pandemic that top employers must consistently deliver upon to the highest standard.

Gallagher Bassett was awarded the top gong of Employer of Choice 2022 in the 500+ employee category alongside big names including Telstra, TPG Telecom and Aussie Broadband.

On the award win, HRD said, “At the very heart of GB are passionate people whose expertise, drive to deliver for customers and social purpose, ensure that the company attracts, engages and retains talent who help make the industry and communities better. GB’s people deliver superior outcomes for the clients and vulnerable individuals they work with on a daily basis who rely on compassion and support to guide them through an unplanned life event.

“GB’s staff members set high standards for themselves and their company to ensure their needs are met, whether they are the security and safety of a financially robust and ethical organisation in a high-growth state and the ability to offer competitive compensation packages and staff benefits, or whether they are career opportunities for promotion and professional development to help realise employees’ full potential. GB offers a team and workplace community who back each other up, support each other’s life events, and open growth pathways through mentorship.”

Other aspects that factored into the Employer of Choice 2022 win include GB’s flexible work arrangement program that offers a home-office-hybrid, flexible work schedules, a values-based family-friendly working environment, superior Health and Wellbeing programs such as Peer Support, Employee Assistance, Wellness Committees and Financial Coaches, and an overarching responsibility to provide a workplace that looks after people’s needs in a vibrant environment during a highly rewarding career.
